Gaoussou Coulibaly

Post-doctoral researcher Fellow

Dr. Gaoussou Coulibaly is trained in Parasitology-Epidemiology (PhD) at Université Félix Houphouët-Boigny (UFHB), Côte d’Ivoire / Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), Switzerland. Presently, he is working at UFHB as Researcher-Assistant Professor; his research focuses on cost-effective and, sustainable approaches, linking water, sanitation and hygiene with preventive chemotherapy for the control of helminthiasis, intestinal protozoa and diarrhoea in developing countries.

I joined the Lamberton lab in January 2026 as part of Africa Research Excellence Fund (AREF)’s Research Development Fellowship (RDF) and Medical Research Foundation (MRF)- Meade Epidemiology Collaboration Grants (MCTG).

His research activities is focus on study design, diagnostics and molecular characterisation, epidemiological methods, biostatistics, especially latent class analysis, and modelling for designing community-led interventions, implementing trials and evaluating impacts through improved analyses of infection status.
